There will be a virtual exhibition hall on the day of the event. The schedule will allow for two 15-minute breaks where there is a chance to visit these stands. The engagement with the stands will also allow students to collect points to help them climb the leader board and win some fantastic prizes. At each of the booths they have the opportunity engage with those managing the stand over live online (private) chat. Each booth will have valuable content available to view or save in their virtual delegate bag.

    FAQ’s

    What is He@lthFest?

He@lthFest is a way for us to bring our popular event for TY and 5th years to you and your students at the tips of your fingers, on your device, at your convenience. This online platform provides a virtual experience for students to explore expert talks, visit exhibitor stands, win fantastic prizes and even take place in a virtual scavenger hunt!

    What topics will be covered?

We will have a range of expert speakers, covering topics such as physical activity, nutrition and mental wellbeing – all tailored to the teenage audience.

Do students participate at home or in school?

We know that a lot of post-primary schools have a half day on a Wednesday and we selected this time so that it would not interrupt class learning in these cases.  As this is an online event, students can participate anywhere that they have Internet access. You may wish to opt for your students to participate from their home, but they can take part in the classroom either. Individual registration and participation will be the best option for the optimal experience. The event is accessible from desktop, laptop and mobile devices (viewing on tablets/iPads may cause issues with joining the talks).

Do students need their own devices if logging on in the classroom setting?

The experience will work best if each student has their own device and logs in separately. In this way, students will get to do the scavenger hunt and engage with exhibitor stands themselves – these activities, along with listening to the talks, will gain them points and an opportunity to win prizes. If your class engages via one laptop in the classroom, they may lose out on these aspects of the event.

However, a way around this is that each could log in on their individual phone/laptop to the talks; they could mute their devices and the class could watch and listen to the talks from the teacher’s laptop (or the students could use their headphones to listen on their own device). Then at the breaks provided to visit the exhibitor stand and do the scavenger hunt, the students can explore these aspects on their own devices. The event is accessible from desktop, laptop and mobile devices(viewing on tablets/iPads may cause issues with joining the talks).

Do students need to participate in the leader board?

No. Students, when they register, can opt not to take part in the leader board aspect of the event and will not have their activity and engagement tracked in order to gain points, move up the leader board and win prizes.

What happens after I pre-register my students?

Once you have pre-registered you and your students, you will be sent a link to the registration page that you can share with them to register for the event. Places are limited, so we advise teachers and students to register as soon as they receive the link.

Can I login using my phone?

Yes, we suggest using desktop, laptop or phone rather than an ipad/tablet for the best experience (these can cause issues in joining the talks).

    Is a webcam required?

    No.

Do I need to download or install any information to be able to attend this event?

No. You only need access to the internet.

Can I access the content afterwards?

The virtual platform will be accessible for 30 days after the event to those registered and each session will be recorded and available to watch on demand.  All of the content from the exhibition hall will also be available to access. To those who did not register, we can provide highlights of the talks on request, but exhibitor content and activities such as the scavenger hunt will not be available.
