Now in its fourth year, HealthFest is a fun-filled and informative event featuring some of Ireland’s top experts, helping to encourage healthy habits for your students now – and for their future. The 2019 HealthFest will be a FREE festival of healthy food, engaging talks and fun-filled demonstrations for teachers and TY and Fifth Year students.
Physical Activities and Student Participation
Please note that some HealthFest activities require a moderate level of fitness and are physically testing. If you are aware of any medical condition that any student may suffer from which may have the effect of making it more likely that the student be involved in any incident which could result in injury to themselves or others, please ensure that the student refrains from partaking in this activity.
Activities on the day include, but are not limited to the following:
- Table Tennis
- Karl Henry Fitness Challenge
Photography and Filming
Healthfest will have photography and filming taking place throughout the day. This may be used for publicity on behalf of the National Dairy Council, its representatives, affiliates, exhibitors or attendees. This footage may be used in current, and in future print and online media. Please note if your school has a particular policy on photo, filming or publicity consent for your students, you should ensure to comply with your own procedure for obtaining consent as your group’s entry constitutes consent for all to participate in photography and / or filming.
Please note that as an attendee at HealthFest, you accept that all attendees from your school will be covered under your school’s insurance policy for the duration of the Event.

Photography/Videography Consent Form
The National Dairy Council is keen to communicate and interact with schools and students in a way that they relate to. In particular, we are aware of the growing use of social media by students, for example, among other websites, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat and Flickr.
In order to comply with Irish Data Protection legislation and other applicable laws, we have enclosed a consent form with this letter which we require to be signed by the following people:
1. Students attending the HealthFest event
2. Parents/guardians of the students attending the HealthFest event
3. All teachers who will be attending the HealthFest event
Please note that completion of the consent form is a mandatory requirement for all students and they should be returned to the National Dairy Council, no later than Monday 2nd April 2018. The consent form confirms parental permission for the students to attend the HealthFest event and it permits NDC to use personal data, images and film of the students and upload those images and film to NDC & HealthFest social media websites.
